Warning went away and the adblue range went to 4000 miles. All good, set off on a drive. About an hour in, the sensor warning pinged again, saying there was 650 miles left. Went and bought another 5 litres to try and reset it - it all went in, so 10 litres in total today. Started up, same procedure but the warning is still there.
In Volkswagen models, a yellow warning light will flash and a tone chime when the car’s AdBlue is running low, it will continue to do this every 31 miles (50km) until you fill the tank. Ignore it and the symbol will eventually turn red, meaning your AdBlue has run out and the car won’t start until it’s been filled.
Adblue tank is full. This same situation accured 2 months ago but the warning just reset itself through normal driving after about 15o miles. This time however it's not self clearing/healing. I have had logged faults on the system namely adblue heater element and Nox sensor 2 ( P229F00 ). I've been able to reset these and they have remained off.

After resetting the DTCs and turning the car off/on again, the AdBlue warning will reappear in the instrument cluster. The car has a full AdBlue tank, but the Range in the instrument cluster does not reset and the reading decreases as you drive.
