The "workaround" would be to get the proper clearance and then go to the DJI safe fly website and do a custom unlock for the area. The unlock will be rejected if the FAA has an NFZ in place. Looks like you can get approval up to the 400' max from what I see on the map. Of course, I don't know your exact location.

It is for this reason I have stopped flying Mavic and fly Autel Evo exclusively. No Mavic Mini for me. Put a deposit on Skydio 2 yesterday. Mavic 2 and all other DJI aircraft already allow for self-unlocking in blue authorization zones. The Mini will, too, once it is a mature aircraft
500M is the real restriction, as its hard-coded into the USA mavic's. You can increase your max altitude by going into the DJI Go 4 app, go to settings, then click the aircraft icon, and scroll all the way to the bottom. the setting will be there. wshsqb07 • 7 yr. ago.
