456 posts · Joined 2016. #2 · Feb 1, 2016. I'm not 100% sure about the F-Pace itself but I do know Jaguar is on Apple's list of Car Manufacturers who support Apple Car Play. Unfortunately the F-Pace or XE isn't listed on the models page but that could be because the car is so new and this apple page could be outdated.

Apple CarPlay will not launch in ZS after plugging in the USB cable if your iPhone is locked and you haven’t allowed access in the settings. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, and select your vehicle name under MY CAR. Then turn on the slider button next to ‘Allow CarPlay While Locked’. Settings > General > CarPlay > Your Car Name
I had a game open before I locked the phone. When I switch an CarPlay app actively playing sound (iTunes or Spotify) through the iPhone while connecting, then somehow success rate is significantly improved. Try this: Unlock phone. Start playing a tune in Spotify or iTunes. Connect USB cable.
